Our client, a well-established, family-run car dealership in Cardiff, is recruiting for a Vehicle Parts Advisor to join their busy Parts Department. The Vehicle Parts Advisor role offers a competitive salary of up to £28,500 per annum, depending on experience, with on-target earnings reaching £33,500 through a performance-based bonus scheme. The position involves working Monday to Friday with shifts between 7:30am and 5:30pm, along with a rotation of one in three Saturdays from 8:30am to 1:00pm. Accurately identify and pick vehicle parts for workshop staff to ensure efficient repairs Handle parts stock control, including audits and inventory management Assist trade and retail customers with parts enquiries, providing excellent customer service Work closely with the Parts Manager and team members to support department operations Use electronic parts catalogue systems and dealer management software (Kerridge/CDK) Maintain stock levels and ensure accurate record-keepingRequirements of a Parts Advisor:
Recent or current experience within the automotive industry preferred Familiarity with vehicle parts, ideally from a similar automotive aftersales environment Strong IT skills, with experience using parts catalogue and dealer management systems Valid UK driving licence with minimal points Excellent customer service and sales skills with a friendly, professional manner Ability to work effectively within a team and independently as requiredThis Vehicle Parts Advisor position is ideal for someone looking to advance their career in the automotive parts industry and enjoy a stable, long-term role.
