About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and certified Passivhaus Architect to lead their pioneering efforts in low-energy and sustainable building design in Sheffield . You will be responsible for the design, documentation, and coordination of projects adhering to the stringent standards of the Passivhaus certification. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop architectural projects to meet Passivhaus certification standards.
• Utilize energy modeling software (e.g., PHPP) to optimize building performance.
• Collaborate with engineers and consultants to integrate high-performance building systems.
• Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for airtightness, thermal bridging, and ventilation strategies.
• Oversee construction phases to ensure adherence to Passivhaus principles and quality control.
• Stay current with advancements in low-energy design and sustainable building technologies.

Requirements

• Fully qualified Architect with Passivhaus certification (e.g., Certified Passivhaus Designer/Consultant).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design, with a significant focus on sustainable or low-energy buildings.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering certified Passivhaus projects.
• Proficiency in relevant design software and building performance simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of thermal bridge-free construction, airtightness requirements, and MVHR systems.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information to clients and construction teams in Sheffield .
