About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented and dedicated Pastry Chef de Partie to join their esteemed catering team in Birmingham . In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation and execution of a wide range of exquisite desserts, pastries, and baked goods for various events. You will work closely with the Head Pastry Chef to ensure all items meet the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute a variety of desserts, cakes, tarts, and other baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the development and costing of new pastry items and dessert menus.
- Maintain a clean and organized pastry station, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.
- Monitor stock levels for pastry ingredients and communicate needs to the Head Pastry Chef.
- Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth service delivery during events.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie or similar role in a professional kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating beautiful and delicious desserts.
- Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Culinary qualifications or apprenticeship in pastry arts are desirable.
