About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated Payroll Accountant to join their finance and HR teams in Brighton . This hybrid role is crucial for ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time, while maintaining compliance with payroll regulations. You will be responsible for managing the entire payroll process, from data input to reconciliation and reporting. Key Responsibilities
- Administer and process the company's payroll accurately and efficiently on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll legislation, including tax, national insurance, and statutory payments.
- Manage employee data, including new starters, leavers, and changes to terms and conditions.
- Prepare payroll reports for management and undertake reconciliations as required.
- Liaise with HMRC and other external bodies regarding payroll matters.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a payroll administration or accounting role with payroll responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and processes.
- Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., Star, Sage Payroll) and MS Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
- Good communication skills for addressing employee queries.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid and collaborative setting.
