About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and organised Payroll Administrator to manage their payroll processes on a fully remote basis. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee salaries, deductions, and statutory payments. You will be the primary point of contact for payroll-related queries, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation. Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly or monthly payroll accurately and on time for all employees.
- Calculate and process statutory deductions, including PAYE, National Insurance, and pensions.
- Manage new starter and leaver processes, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and processed.
- Respond to employee queries regarding pay, deductions, and statutory entitlements.
- Liaise with HMRC and other external bodies as required.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar payroll-focused role.
- In-depth knowledge of UK payroll legislation, including PAYE, NI, and pension auto-enrolment.
- Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., Sage Payroll, Xero Payroll) and MS Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective remote interaction.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and maintain high professional standards.
