About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to manage their payroll processing operations in Wolverhampton . This role is vital for ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time, in compliance with current legislation and company policies. You will be responsible for the entire payroll cycle, from data input to processing and reporting, working closely with HR and Finance departments. Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly and monthly payroll for all employees accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll legislation, HMRC regulations, and tax requirements.
- Manage employee data changes, including new starters, leavers, salary adjustments, and benefits deductions.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and relevant authorities.
- Respond to employee queries regarding payroll, pay slips, and deductions in a timely and professional manner.
- Liaise with third-party providers for pension auto-enrolment and other payroll-related services.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Payroll Administrator role, preferably within a busy department.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK payroll legislation and tax implications.
- Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., Sage Payroll, Xero Payroll, STAR) and MS Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
