About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and reliable Payroll Administrator to manage the end-to-end payroll process for their employees, operating remotely. This role is essential for ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries, statutory deductions, and other employee-related payments. You will be responsible for maintaining payroll records, processing new starters and leavers, and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies, providing a critical service to the workforce from a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly or monthly payroll accurately and on time, adhering to strict deadlines.
- Manage the input and verification of new starters, leavers, and any changes to employee pay details.
- Ensure correct calculation and processing of statutory deductions (e.g., PAYE, National Insurance).
- Handle payroll queries from employees and third parties promptly and efficiently.
- Liaise with HMRC and other external bodies as required.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar payroll processing role.
- Good understanding of current UK payroll legislation, including PAYE, NI, and statutory payments.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Sage Payroll, Xero Payroll) and MS Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, suitable for remote working.
