About the Role
Our client is looking for a meticulous and efficient Payroll Administrator to join their team in Plymouth . This hybrid role involves managing the end-to-end payroll process for employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payment. You will be responsible for processing payroll data, handling queries, and liaising with HMRC. The ideal candidate possesses strong attention to detail and a thorough understanding of payroll legislation. This position is essential for maintaining employee satisfaction and ensuring regulatory adherence within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly and monthly payroll for all employees accurately and on time.
- Ensure compliance with current payroll legislation, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Manage employee payroll queries, providing timely and accurate resolutions.
- Process new starters, leavers, and changes to employee details.
- Liaise with HMRC regarding PAYE, National Insurance, and other payroll-related matters.
- Assist with payroll reconciliations and month-end reporting.
Requirements
- Proven experience in payroll administration, preferably using payroll software such as Sage Payroll or similar.
- Solid understanding of UK payroll regulations, including PAYE, NI, and statutory payments.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
