About the Role
Our client is looking for a diligent and organised Payroll Administrator to manage their payroll processes in Wolverhampton . This role is crucial for ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time, whilst maintaining compliance with HMRC regulations. You will be responsible for processing payroll data, managing employee queries, and liaising with third-party providers. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual with strong administrative skills and a keen eye for detail to contribute to the smooth running of HR and finance operations within a supportive organisation in the West Midlands, ensuring employee satisfaction and regulatory adherence.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly and/or monthly payroll accurately and efficiently, including starters, leavers, and changes.
- Ensure compliance with current payroll legislation, including PAYE, National Insurance, and statutory deductions.
- Administer employee benefits such as pensions, BIK, and holiday pay calculations.
- Respond to employee payroll queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Liaise with HMRC and other relevant bodies as required.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and prepare reports for management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a payroll processing role, ideally with knowledge of UK payroll systems (e.g., Sage Payroll, Xero Payroll).
- Up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and best practices.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in spreadsheet software (Excel).
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
