About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and accurate Payroll Administrator to join their finance team in Brighton . This role is responsible for ensuring the timely and correct processing of employee payroll, maintaining payroll records, and handling payroll-related queries. You will be a key member of the HR and Finance support functions, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail to manage critical payroll functions within a supportive and collaborative office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process the company’s payroll accurately and efficiently on a weekly or monthly basis.
- Ensure all statutory deductions (e.g., PAYE, NI) are calculated and processed correctly.
- Manage employee data within the payroll system, including new starters, leavers, and changes in terms.
- Respond to employee payroll queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Reconcile payroll reports and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, including P60 production.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar payroll processing role.
- Familiarity with UK payroll legislation and tax requirements.
- Experience using payroll software (e.g., Sage Payroll, Xero Payroll) and MS Excel.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good communication and organisational skills, able to manage multiple tasks.
