Our client is seeking an organised and precise Payroll Administrator to manage their payroll processes, operating on a hybrid work model. This role is crucial for ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time, while maintaining compliance with current legislation. You will be responsible for processing payroll data, managing queries, and liaising with HMRC and pension providers. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to contribute to the smooth financial operations of the company from both the office and home.
Key Responsibilities
- Process the company's payroll accurately and efficiently on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Ensure correct deductions are made for tax, National Insurance, and pensions.
- Manage employee payroll queries and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including starters, leavers, and changes.
- Prepare and submit necessary reports to HMRC and pension providers.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll legislation and ensure compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of payroll software and current UK payroll legislation.
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Familiarity with BACS and other payment methods.
