About the Role
Our client requires a meticulous and reliable Payroll Administrator to manage the accurate and timely processing of payroll for their employees based in Glasgow . This role is vital for ensuring all staff are paid correctly and on time, managing statutory deductions, and staying up-to-date with payroll legislation. The ideal candidate will be adept at handling sensitive information with discretion and accuracy, contributing to a positive employee experience through reliable payroll services, and ensuring compliance with all relevant tax and employment laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly or monthly payroll accurately and efficiently for all employees.
- Calculate and manage statutory deductions, including PAYE, National Insurance, and pensions.
- Respond to employee queries regarding payroll, deductions, and payslips in a professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with current payroll legislation and HMRC requirements.
- Process new starters, leavers, and any changes to employee pay or details.
- Reconcile payroll reports and assist with year-end payroll processing (P60s, P11Ds).
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Payroll Administrator or similar role is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of UK payroll legislation and tax regulations is essential.
- Familiarity with payroll software (e.g., Sage Payroll, Xero Payroll) and Excel.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data with integrity.
