About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to manage payroll processing for their employees based in Portsmouth . This role is essential for ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time, while adhering to all relevant legislation and company policies. You will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll process, from data input to finalising reports. This position requires discretion, accuracy, and a strong understanding of payroll systems and regulations, operating within a hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly and monthly payroll runs accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure all new starters and leavers are processed correctly, including calculations for pay, deductions, and holidays.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records and update changes as required.
- Process statutory deductions, such as PAYE, National Insurance, and pensions.
- Respond to employee queries regarding payroll and expenses in a timely and professional manner.
- Liaise with HMRC and other relevant bodies as necessary.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar payroll role.
- Knowledge of current payroll legislation and tax regulations.
- Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
