About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to manage their payroll processes in Brighton . This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee salaries, adhering to all statutory regulations and company policies. You will handle all aspects of payroll, from data entry and calculations to resolving employee queries and liaising with HMRC. This is a crucial position for maintaining employee satisfaction and ensuring compliance within the finance and HR departments, offering a blend of administrative precision and employee support.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly and monthly payroll accurately and on time for all employees.
- Calculate and process statutory deductions, including PAYE, National Insurance, and pensions.
- Manage employee data, ensuring all changes (starters, leavers, amendments) are updated correctly.
- Respond to and resolve employee payroll queries efficiently and professionally.
- Liaise with HMRC and pension providers as required, ensuring compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a payroll processing role.
- Knowledge of current payroll legislation, PAYE, NI, and statutory payments.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Sage Payroll, Xero Payroll) and Microsoft Excel .
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
