About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to manage all aspects of the payroll process remotely for their operations in Sunderland . This role requires accuracy, discretion, and a thorough understanding of payroll legislation. You will ensure that all employees are paid accurately and on time, while adhering to statutory requirements and company policies, contributing to a smooth and efficient HR and finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly and monthly payroll accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all HMRC regulations, tax laws, and statutory deductions.
- Manage employee data, including new hires, leavers, and changes to pay or terms.
- Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and management.
- Reconcile payroll reports and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Sage Payroll, Xero Payroll) and MS Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, suitable for remote working.
