About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Payroll Administrator to manage their payroll processes in a fully remote setting. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, managing statutory deductions, and maintaining up-to-date payroll records. You will be a key point of contact for employee payroll queries, providing excellent support and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated payroll professional to work independently and contribute significantly to the smooth running of the organisation's HR and finance functions from anywhere.
Key Responsibilities
- Process full payroll cycles accurately and on time, including starters, leavers, and all amendments.
- Ensure compliance with current tax laws, National Insurance contributions, and other statutory deductions.
- Manage and administer employee benefits, such as pension schemes and statutory sick pay.
- Respond to employee payroll queries promptly and professionally, providing clear explanations and resolutions.
- Reconcile payroll reports and prepare necessary submissions to HMRC and other third parties.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee payroll records, ensuring data integrity.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar payroll-focused role.
- Solid understanding of UK payroll legislation, PAYE, and National Insurance.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Sage Payroll) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
