About the Role
Our client is looking for a meticulous and experienced Payroll Specialist to manage payroll operations remotely for their UK-wide workforce. This role is essential for ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time, in full compliance with HMRC regulations and company policies. You will be responsible for processing payroll cycles, managing employee data, and handling payroll queries with utmost confidentiality and precision. This fully remote position offers the flexibility to work from home while playing a critical role in the employee experience and financial administration of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly and monthly payroll accurately and efficiently for all employees.
- Manage employee data, including new starters, leavers, and changes to pay or personal details.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including tax, National Insurance, and pension contributions.
- Handle payroll queries from employees and management in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare payroll reports for management and relevant departments.
- Liaise with HMRC and pension providers as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar payroll role.
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, PAYE, NI, and statutory payments.
- Proficiency in payroll software and HR information systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively in a remote setting.
