About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and technically proficient Penetration Tester to join their dedicated security testing team in Glasgow . You will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities in web applications, networks, and systems through ethical hacking techniques. Your findings will be crucial in helping clients strengthen their defenses against real-world cyber threats. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive penetration tests on web applications, mobile applications, network infrastructure, and APIs.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and provide detailed reports on identified security weaknesses.
• Utilize a range of penetration testing tools and methodologies to simulate sophisticated attacks.
• Develop clear, concise, and actionable reports outlining findings, risks, and remediation recommendations.
• Collaborate with client technical teams to explain vulnerabilities and advise on mitigation strategies.
• Stay updated on the latest exploitation techniques, tools, and industry trends in offensive security.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrable experience in performing penetration tests and vulnerability assessments.
• Proficiency with common penetration testing tools (e.g., Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, Kali Linux).
• Understanding of web application security, network protocols, and common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10).
• Excellent report writing and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical findings.
