Performance Analyst - Sports Science

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Performance Analyst specializing in Sports Science to join their remote team, supporting athletes and teams across various disciplines. In this role, you will leverage cutting-edge technology and data analysis techniques to provide critical insights into athletic performance, training effectiveness, and injury prevention. You will collaborate closely with coaches and athletes to translate complex data into actionable strategies, enhancing performance outcomes and contributing to the success of our client's Leisure & Sports initiatives, all within a fully remote working structure that prioritizes flexibility and global collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and analyze performance data from various sources, including GPS, heart rate monitors, video analysis, and physiological testing.
• Develop statistical models and visualizations to identify trends, strengths, and weaknesses in athletic performance.
• Provide objective feedback and insights to coaches and athletes regarding training load, technical execution, and tactical effectiveness.
• Collaborate with sports scientists and medical staff to support injury prevention strategies and rehabilitation monitoring.
• Create comprehensive performance reports and presentations for internal review and external stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in sports analytics , performance technology, and sports science research.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sports Science, Performance Analysis, Biomechanics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a performance analysis role within a professional sports environment.
• Proficiency with performance analysis software (e.g., Hudl, Dartfish, Catapult) and statistical packages (e.g., R, Python).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data visualization skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a remote setting.
