About the Role
Our client, a leading sports organization in Edinburgh , is seeking a meticulous Performance Analyst to join their sports science department. This role is critical in providing data-driven insights to enhance athlete performance and strategy. You will collect, analyze, and interpret performance data from training and competition, working closely with coaches and athletes to translate complex findings into actionable recommendations that drive improvement and success, contributing to the team's competitive edge through cutting-edge analytical techniques and technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, process, and analyze performance data from training sessions and competitive events using specialized software.
- Develop and maintain performance databases and reporting systems.
- Provide clear, concise, and actionable reports and video analyses to coaching staff and athletes.
- Collaborate with coaches to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and areas for development.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in performance analysis and sports science.
- Assist in the implementation of performance improvement strategies based on analytical findings.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Performance Analyst in a professional sports environment.
- Proficiency with performance analysis software (e.g., Hudl, Dartfish, Kinexon).
- Strong statistical analysis skills and data visualization capabilities.
- Excellent understanding of sports biomechanics, physiology, and tactical concepts.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sports Science, Performance Analysis, or a related discipline.
