Job Description
My client is recruiting for a Personal Injury Legal Advisor to join their Pre Litigation Credit Hire team in Manchester.
This is an opportunity for an experienced personal injury professional to take responsibility for a complex caseload of pre litigated claims involving credit hire. The role would suit someone with a strong track record handling higher value claims, credit hire matters and cases involving fraud or LVI allegations.
The Role
- Managing a caseload of pre litigated Personal Injury claims involving credit hire.
- Handling claims outside the MOJ portal exceeding £20,000 and up to £50,000 with supervision.
- Reviewing and valuing medical evidence without supervision.
- Carrying out quantum reviews and assessments independently.
- Handling minor cases proceeding to Infant Approvals without supervision.
- Managing claims involving credit hire charges and higher value matters.
- Dealing with claims exceeding £20,000, including credit hire charges.
- Managing claims involving allegations of fraud and LVI.
- Applying current case law relating to credit hire.
- Understanding the principles of credit hire and correctly pleading claims to address relevant issues.
- Liaising with credit hire organisations and maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Working in accordance with the Pre Action Protocol and Civil Procedure Rules.
- Working towards monthly and annual financial and non financial targets.
The Candidate
- Have a proven track record of dealing with claims exceeding £20,000, including credit hire claims.
- Have substantial experience dealing with credit hire claims, ideally over a period of 4 years or more.
- Have experience dealing with claims involving fraud and LVI allegations.
- Have an excellent understanding of the Pre Action Protocol.
- Have an excellent understanding of the tactical exit of claims from the MOJ portal.
- Have excellent knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules.
- Have excellent knowledge of current case law affecting credit hire.
- Have a strong understanding of credit hire principles and the ability to plead claims correctly.
- Have experience reviewing and valuing medical evidence without supervision.
- Have experience carrying out quantum reviews and assessments without supervision.
- Have experience handling claims involving multiple medical expert disciplines.
- Have excellent customer service, telephone and fact finding skills.
- Be confident, assertive and proactive with a determination to get things done.
