About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Petroleum Engineer focused on Production Optimization to join their fully remote team. This role is essential for maximizing the output and efficiency of oil and gas wells. You will analyze production data, identify potential improvements, and implement strategies to enhance hydrocarbon recovery. Working remotely, you will collaborate with field operations and reservoir management teams to drive performance improvements and ensure the economic viability of production assets. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor well and field production performance, identifying deviations from expected outcomes.
- Analyze production data, including well tests, pressure surveys, and flow rates, to diagnose issues.
- Develop and recommend strategies for artificial lift optimization (e.g., ESP, gas lift, rod pumps).
- Implement and manage waterflood management and EOR (Enhanced Oil Recovery) projects.
- Collaborate with reservoir engineers and geoscientists to ensure alignment with reservoir management strategies.
- Prepare technical reports, forecasts, and recommendations for production enhancement initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in petroleum engineering with a focus on production optimization .
- Strong understanding of production operations, wellbore hydraulics, and fluid flow principles.
- Proficiency in production software, including nodal analysis and reservoir simulation tools.
- Experience with various artificial lift methods and water management techniques .
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently in a remote work environment .
