About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Petroleum Engineer with a specialization in Production Optimization to join their asset management team in Plymouth . This role is critical for maximizing hydrocarbon recovery and operational efficiency from existing fields. You will analyze production data, identify opportunities for artificial lift, well interventions, and facility improvements, and work collaboratively with field operations to implement these strategies. This position offers a significant opportunity to influence production performance and profitability in a key UK energy producing region , working within a supportive team environment focused on technical excellence and operational improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze well and field production data to identify performance issues and opportunities for optimization.
- Design and implement artificial lift systems (e.g., ESPs, rod pumps) and well intervention programs.
- Conduct economic evaluations for production enhancement projects and operational improvements.
- Collaborate with reservoir engineers, geologists, and operations personnel to develop integrated field development plans.
- Monitor production performance post-intervention and recommend further actions to maximize recovery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in petroleum production engineering and optimization.
- Strong understanding of production logging, artificial lift methods, and well stimulation techniques.
- Proficiency in production software and data analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with experience working in field operations environments in Plymouth .
