About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Pharmaceutical Development Manager to lead their product development initiatives in Bristol . This senior role involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of pharmaceutical product development, from early-stage research through to regulatory submission and commercialization. You will manage a team of scientists and project managers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a critical leadership position offering the opportunity to shape the company's product portfolio and contribute to significant advancements in healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams responsible for the development of new pharmaceutical products.
- Develop and execute comprehensive product development strategies, aligning with business objectives.
- Oversee all aspects of drug development, including formulation, process development, analytical testing, and regulatory affairs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA, EMA, MHRA) and internal quality standards.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, identifying and mitigating risks.
- Foster strong relationships with external partners, CROs, and manufacturing sites.
Requirements
- PhD or Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related life science discipline.
- Extensive experience (7+ years) in pharmaceutical product development, with demonstrated leadership experience.
- Proven track record of successfully bringing pharmaceutical products from R&D to market.
- In-depth knowledge of drug development processes, regulatory requirements, and quality systems.
- Strong project management, strategic planning, and team leadership skills.
