About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and innovative Pharmaceutical Process Development Engineer to join their advanced manufacturing facility in Leeds . This role is critical in optimizing and scaling up manufacturing processes for novel pharmaceutical products. You will be involved in troubleshooting existing processes, developing new methodologies, and ensuring that production runs efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with regulatory standards. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineering professional to contribute to the seamless transition of products from laboratory scale to full commercial production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize pharmaceutical manufacturing processes to enhance yield, purity, and efficiency.
- Scale-up processes from laboratory and pilot plant to commercial manufacturing, ensuring robust and reproducible outcomes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during process development and manufacturing campaigns.
- Conduct process validation studies and prepare validation reports in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Production, to ensure successful product development and launch.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in process development within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
- Strong understanding of GMP, process validation, and regulatory submission requirements.
- Hands-on experience with relevant manufacturing equipment and process analytical technology (PAT).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a systematic approach to process optimization.
