Pharmaceutical Process Development Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and innovative Pharmaceutical Process Development Engineer to join their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Glasgow . This role is central to optimizing and scaling up manufacturing processes for new and existing pharmaceutical products. You will be responsible for designing, troubleshooting, and implementing robust, efficient, and compliant manufacturing processes that meet stringent quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for pharmaceutical products, ensuring scalability and robustness.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues in pilot and commercial manufacturing settings.
• Conduct process validation activities and prepare validation documentation.
• Implement new technologies and process improvements to enhance efficiency, yield, and quality.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing teams to ensure smooth technology transfer and process implementation.
• Perform process hazard analyses and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in process development within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Proven experience in process design, scale-up, and validation of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
• Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and process safety principles.
• Proficiency with process simulation software and statistical analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
