Pharmaceutical Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client, a leader in pharmaceutical innovation, is seeking a skilled Pharmaceutical Process Engineer to join their operations team in Reading . This hybrid role will involve optimizing and improving existing manufacturing processes, as well as designing and implementing new ones to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. You will work closely with production, R&D, and quality teams to troubleshoot process issues and drive technological advancements. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer passionate about process optimization within the highly regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize pharmaceutical manufacturing processes , focusing on efficiency, yield, and cost-effectiveness.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and product variability.
• Conduct process validation studies and prepare documentation for regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless process transfer and implementation.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies and automation solutions to improve manufacturing capabilities.
• Ensure all processes comply with GMP , safety regulations, and environmental standards.

Requirements

• BEng or MEng in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in process engineering within the pharmaceutical or a closely related industry.
• Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and process validation principles.
• Experience with process simulation software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
