About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and innovative Pharmaceutical Process Engineer to join their technical operations team in Bristol . This role operates on a hybrid basis, requiring both on-site presence for process development and troubleshooting, and remote capabilities for documentation and virtual collaboration. You will be responsible for the design, optimization, and scale-up of manufacturing processes for pharmaceutical products, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong engineering background, a thorough understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing principles, and a proven ability to solve complex technical challenges. You will work closely with production, quality assurance, and R&D teams to enhance existing processes and develop new manufacturing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, validate, and optimize manufacturing processes for pharmaceutical products.
- Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues to maintain operational efficiency and product quality.
- Conduct process improvement initiatives, implementing new technologies and methodologies.
- Perform scale-up studies from laboratory to pilot plant and commercial manufacturing scales.
- Develop and execute process validation protocols and reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing technical expertise and support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in process engineering within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical unit operations and GMP requirements.
- Experience with process simulation and modeling software is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in documentation and technical report writing, with good communication for hybrid work.
