Pharmaceutical Production Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and mechanically minded Pharmaceutical Production Technician to join their manufacturing facility in Sunderland . This hands-on role is crucial for the efficient and compliant production of vital pharmaceutical products. You will operate and maintain sophisticated production equipment, adhering strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor various pharmaceutical production machinery, including filling, capping, and packaging equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and calibration of production machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) meticulously to ensure product quality and compliance with GMP standards.
• Accurately record production data, including batch numbers, quantities, and process parameters.
• Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or process deviations to the production supervisor immediately.
• Assist in the setup and changeover of production lines for different product batches.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in manufacturing or a related field is a plus.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the pharmaceutical or food industry.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and cleanroom procedures.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Good manual dexterity and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
