Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst to join their manufacturing operations in Manchester . This role is essential for ensuring that all manufactured pharmaceutical products meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements before they reach patients. You will be responsible for performing a variety of analytical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using sophisticated laboratory equipment. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining the integrity and safety of our client's pharmaceutical offerings in a hybrid work model that balances essential laboratory presence with remote administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing on pharmaceutical samples using techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, and KF titration.
• Analyze and interpret test results, documenting all activities in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability of test results.
• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and deviations, participating in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Prepare and review batch records and analytical reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs teams to resolve quality issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related scientific discipline.
• Proven experience (2+ years) in a pharmaceutical quality control or analytical laboratory setting.
• Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation commonly used in pharmaceutical QC, particularly HPLC and GC.
• Solid understanding of GMP, regulatory guidelines, and quality management systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with a hybrid work schedule.
