Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst

About the Role

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst to join their established quality assurance department in Manchester . This role is integral to ensuring the consistent quality and safety of pharmaceutical products before they reach the market. You will perform a variety of analytical tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using sophisticated laboratory equipment. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and titration.
• Accurately document all testing procedures, results, and observations in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines.
• Investigate and troubleshoot out-of-specification (OOS) results, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and validated for use.
• Review and approve analytical test data and associated documentation.
• Assist in the validation of new analytical methods and the transfer of methods from R&D to QC.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
• Proven experience in a Quality Control laboratory environment, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency with various analytical instrumentation, particularly HPLC and GC.
• Solid understanding of GMP, regulatory requirements, and quality management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data recording and analysis.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced setting in Manchester .
