Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst to join their established quality assurance team in Leeds . This role is critical in ensuring that all pharmaceutical products manufactured meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements before they reach the market. You will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products, meticulously documenting results and identifying any deviations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of analytical chemistry and quality control principles within a GMP environment, contributing to the company's commitment to producing safe and effective medicines.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine laboratory tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished pharmaceutical products using validated methods.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as HPLC , GC, spectrophotometers, and dissolution apparatus.
• Analyze test results, compare them against established specifications, and document findings accurately in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems.
• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and deviations, participating in root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Prepare Certificates of Analysis (CoA) for released product batches.
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) , safety regulations, and internal quality procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical or related industry Quality Control laboratory.
• Proficiency with analytical techniques commonly used in pharmaceutical QC, such as HPLC , GC, and wet chemistry.
• Strong understanding of GMP principles and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical sector.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a laboratory setting.
