About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a diligent Pharmacovigilance Officer to join their expanding pharmaceutical operations based in Belfast . This critical role focuses on monitoring the safety of pharmaceutical products, collecting and assessing adverse event data, and ensuring compliance with global pharmacovigilance regulations. You will contribute to safeguarding public health by identifying potential safety signals and implementing risk mitigation strategies. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, process, and assess adverse event reports from various sources, ensuring accurate and timely case management.
- Perform literature reviews to identify potential safety signals and trends related to assigned products.
- Prepare and submit regulatory safety reports, including Periodic Safety Update Reports (PSURs) and R2 compliance.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of pharmacovigilance system master files and safety databases.
- Liaise with healthcare professionals, patients, and regulatory authorities regarding safety inquiries.
- Participate in the development and implementation of risk management plans and pharmacovigilance quality systems.
Requirements
- Degree in a life science, pharmacy, medicine, or a related healthcare discipline.
- Experience in pharmacovigilance , drug safety, or a closely related field within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Solid understanding of global pharmacovigilance regulations and reporting requirements (e.g., GVP modules).
- Familiarity with safety databases and adverse event reporting systems.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously in a remote setting, supporting operations in Belfast .
