About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and observant Pharmacovigilance Officer to join their safety monitoring team on a remote basis, supporting operations in the Plymouth area. This role is fundamental to ensuring the safety and efficacy of pharmaceutical products by meticulously collecting, evaluating, and reporting adverse event data. You will play a crucial part in maintaining regulatory compliance and safeguarding public health. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, process, and evaluate adverse event reports from various sources.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of safety information to regulatory authorities.
- Maintain the pharmacovigilance database, ensuring data integrity and completeness.
- Participate in signal detection activities and risk management initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Medical, Regulatory, Clinical) on safety-related issues.
- Assist in the preparation of periodic safety update reports (PSURs) and other safety documents.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, Life Sciences, or a related healthcare field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmacovigilance or drug safety.
- Good understanding of global pharmacovigilance regulations and reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in using safety databases and data management systems.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously.
