Pharmacovigilance Officer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a vigilant and conscientious Pharmacovigilance Officer to join their safety team, working remotely with potential site visits to Plymouth . This critical role involves the monitoring and assessment of drug safety, ensuring that potential risks associated with medicinal products are identified, evaluated, and mitigated promptly. You will be responsible for processing adverse event reports, contributing to safety database management, and ensuring compliance with global pharmacovigilance regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Process, evaluate, and report adverse event cases from various sources in compliance with regulatory timelines.
• Maintain and update the company's safety database with accurate and complete case information.
• Contribute to the preparation of Periodic Safety Update Reports (PSURs) and other safety regulatory documents.
• Monitor safety literature and identify potential signals requiring further investigation.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Medical, Regulatory) and external partners on safety-related matters.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable pharmacovigilance regulations and company SOPs.

Requirements

• Life science degree (e.g., Pharmacy, Nursing, Biology) or equivalent healthcare qualification.
• 1-3 years of experience in pharmacovigilance or drug safety.
• Familiarity with global pharmacovigilance regulations (e.g., GVP, FDA guidelines).
• Experience with safety databases (e.g., Argus, ArisG) and case processing.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills , comfortable working in a remote environment.
