Pharmacovigilance Officer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a vigilant and experienced Pharmacovigilance Officer to join their dedicated safety team in Leeds . This essential role involves the meticulous monitoring of drug safety profiles, ensuring that potential adverse events are identified, assessed, and reported in accordance with global regulatory requirements. You will play a critical part in safeguarding public health by contributing to the ongoing safety evaluation of pharmaceutical products. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, assess, and report adverse event data from various sources (e.g., clinical trials, post-marketing).
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of safety information to regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to the preparation of safety reports, such as Periodic Safety Update Reports (PSURs).
• Participate in signal detection activities and risk assessment for assigned products.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to pharmacovigilance activities.
• Liaise with external partners, such as CROs and licensing partners, on safety matters.

Requirements

• Degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, Medicine, or a related life science field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in pharmacovigilance or drug safety.
• Proficiency in pharmacovigilance databases and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Strong understanding of safety reporting regulations (e.g., FDA, EMA).
• Excellent analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines in a Leeds -based office environment.
