About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Pharmacovigilance Specialist to join their drug safety team, operating with a hybrid model based in Reading . This role is crucial for ensuring patient safety by monitoring, collecting, assessing, and reporting adverse events associated with their pharmaceutical products. You will play a key part in maintaining regulatory compliance and contributing to the overall safety profile of the company's medicines. This position requires a proactive approach to drug safety and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and evaluate adverse event reports from various sources (e.g., healthcare professionals, patients, literature).
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of safety reports to regulatory authorities worldwide.
- Conduct literature reviews to identify potential safety signals and emerging risks.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs) and external partners on safety-related matters.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of safety databases and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in safety surveillance activities and risk management planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, Life Sciences, or a related healthcare field.
- Experience (2+ years) in pharmacovigilance, drug safety, or a related regulatory compliance role.
- Good understanding of global pharmacovigilance regulations and guidelines (e.g., GVP, FDA regulations).
- Familiarity with safety databases (e.g., Argus, ArisG) and case processing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong analytical capabilities.
- Ability to manage workload effectively and meet strict deadlines, with regular presence required in Reading .
