About the Role
Our client, a global leader in pharmaceutical innovation, is seeking a highly analytical Data Scientist to join their Pharmacovigilance (PV) team, working remotely. This role is critical for leveraging advanced data analytics and machine learning techniques to enhance drug safety monitoring and signal detection. You will extract, analyze, and interpret large datasets from various sources to identify potential safety issues, improve risk management strategies, and contribute to regulatory compliance. This is a key remote position for a data-savvy professional passionate about patient safety and leveraging data to drive informed decision-making in pharmacovigilance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced analytical models and machine learning algorithms for pharmacovigilance data analysis.
- Mine and analyze large datasets from sources such as clinical trials, post-marketing surveillance, and real-world data (RWD).
- Identify potential drug safety signals and trends, and contribute to risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations to communicate complex data insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with PV physicians, case processing teams, and regulatory affairs.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and methodologies in data science and pharmacovigilance.
Requirements
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data science , with a focus on healthcare or pharmaceutical data.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant libraries (e.g., Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow).
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and data mining.
- Familiarity with pharmacovigilance principles and data types is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
