Physics Lecturer

CJS Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Physics Lecturer to join a well-established further education college in West London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and knowledgeable Physics Lecturer to inspire students, deliver engaging lessons and support learners in developing their scientific knowledge and understanding.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality theoretical and practical teaching, helping students achieve their academic goals and progress towards further education or employment.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging Physics lessons to students across relevant qualification levels.

*

Teach theoretical concepts and practical scientific principles.

*

Prepare lesson plans, presentations, learning resources and practical experiments.

*

Make complex scientific topics accessible and engaging for students.

*

Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records.

*

Support learners with their academic development and achievement.

*

Prepare students for examinations and coursework assessments.

*

Maintain a safe and organised classroom and laboratory environment.

*

Ensure all teaching activities comply with health and safety requirements.

Requirements

*

Degree in Physics or a closely related scientific subject.

*

Strong subject knowledge and understanding of Physics principles.

*

Previous teaching or lecturing experience within Further Education would be advantageous.

*

A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent) would be desirable.

*

Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

*

Ability to deliver engaging lessons to students with different learning abilities.

*

Passion for education and supporting student development.

*

Relevant industry or academic experience will also be considered.
