Pipeline Integrity Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Pipeline Integrity Engineer to oversee the integrity of their extensive pipeline network, operating from their Bristol hub. This role is paramount in ensuring the safe and reliable transportation of oil and gas, focusing on preventing pipeline failures and environmental incidents. You will be responsible for developing and implementing integrity management programs, conducting risk assessments, and overseeing inspection and maintenance activities. This position is critical for maintaining operational continuity and regulatory compliance in a high-risk industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive pipeline integrity management (PIM) plans.
• Conduct risk-based assessments to identify and prioritize pipeline integrity threats.
• Plan and manage inline inspection (ILI) and direct assessment (DA) programs.
• Analyze inspection data and recommend appropriate repair or remediation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., PHMSA).
• Oversee pipeline maintenance and repair activities to ensure asset integrity.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in pipeline engineering or integrity management.
• Strong understanding of pipeline materials, corrosion, welding, and failure mechanisms.
• Experience with PIM software and risk assessment methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
