Planning Solicitor (NQ - 4 PQE) Location: Birmingham An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Planning Solicitor to join a highly regarded and rapidly growing Planning and Environment team. This established, multi-disciplinary group comprises planning lawyers, environmental lawyers, advocates and planning consultants, providing comprehensive advice across a wide range of development sectors nationwide. Recognised for its expertise, commercial approach and collaborative culture, the team supports clients throughout the entire planning process, from project inception through to delivery, helping secure the best possible outcomes. Due to continued growth in instructions and an expanding client base, the team is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and ambitious solicitor to support its national practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with 0-4 years' post-qualification experience to work on a broad range of planning matters and gain exposure to high-profile development projects across multiple sectors. You will work closely with experienced planning professionals and be involved in: Drafting and negotiating Section 106 Agreements Advising on planning, highways and associated legal matters Negotiating highways and other statutory agreements Supporting property and corporate transaction due diligence Advising on contentious planning matters, including: Planning inquiries and hearings Judicial reviews Court challenges Enforcement issues The successful candidate will ideally have: Between NQ and 4 years' PQE in planning law Experience dealing with Section 106 agreements and statutory agreements Knowledge of planning, highways and environmental law Experience of legal due diligence connected with property and corporate transactions Exposure to contentious planning matters and related disputes Strong communication and client relationship skills A proactive, commercial and collaborative approach41bf1e1f-b16b-4260-a40a-17c77a06fd15
