About the Role
Our client is actively recruiting for a dedicated Plant Industrial Engineer to join their operational team in the historic city of Oxford . This critical role focuses on optimizing plant-wide production processes, improving efficiencies, and implementing cost-effective solutions to enhance overall operational performance. You will work closely with plant management and operational staff to identify areas for improvement and drive positive change through engineering principles. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze production lines and plant operations to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reduction.
- Design, implement, and monitor new or improved manufacturing processes and layouts.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation.
- Lead projects related to lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards within the plant environment in Oxford .
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in an industrial engineering or plant engineering role.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, process simulation, and statistical analysis.
- Proficiency in CAD software and experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
