About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly experienced Senior Process Engineer to join their globally distributed team, fully remotely, supporting operations in the Oxford area. This key role involves the design, optimisation, and troubleshooting of complex chemical processes. You will provide expert technical guidance, lead improvement initiatives, and ensure the highest standards of safety and efficiency are met across all project phases. Key Responsibilities
- Lead process design and development for new chemical manufacturing projects.
- Optimise existing processes to improve yield, reduce costs, and enhance safety and environmental performance.
- Conduct detailed process simulations and techno-economic evaluations.
- Provide technical support for plant operations, troubleshooting complex issues.
- Develop and implement robust Process Safety Management (PSM) strategies.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in process engineering within the chemical industry.
- Expertise in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of chemical reaction engineering, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
- Demonstrated experience with Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and risk assessment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and remote collaboration skills.
