Plant Maintenance Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Plant Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations for their facility in Wolverhampton . This leadership role involves managing a team of maintenance technicians, coordinating daily activities, and ensuring the optimal functioning of all plant machinery and infrastructure. You will be responsible for implementing preventative maintenance programs, responding to breakdowns, and driving continuous improvement in maintenance efficiency and safety standards. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance and performance management.
• Develop, implement, and manage preventative maintenance schedules for all plant equipment.
• Coordinate the response to emergency maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of breakdowns.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement processes for maintenance supplies.
• Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and implement strategies for improved reliability and cost reduction.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a plant maintenance role, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and facility maintenance principles.
• Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex maintenance issues and make sound decisions.
• Relevant technical qualification or degree in engineering or a related field is desirable.
