About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager with a specialization in Fixed Income to join their investment management team in Plymouth . This role is responsible for managing investment portfolios to meet client objectives, developing and implementing investment strategies, and conducting in-depth market research. You will work closely with research analysts, traders, and client relationship managers to deliver strong investment performance and exceptional client service. This hybrid position offers flexibility while ensuring strategic oversight and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute investment strategies for fixed income portfolios aligned with client mandates and risk tolerance.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of macroeconomic trends, interest rates, and credit markets.
- Select and manage a diversified portfolio of fixed income securities, including government bonds, corporate bonds, and high-yield debt.
- Monitor portfolio performance, risk exposures, and economic conditions, making necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with traders to execute trades efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Communicate investment strategies, performance, and outlook to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal investment guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field; CFA designation is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in portfolio management, with a strong focus on fixed income strategies.
- Proven track record of successfully managing fixed income portfolios and achieving investment objectives.
- Deep understanding of fixed income markets, securities, and valuation methodologies.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, economic analysis, and portfolio construction techniques.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex investment concepts.
- Willingness to work a hybrid schedule, balancing remote work with essential in-office collaboration.
