Power Systems Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Perform load flow, short circuit, and stability analysis for power systems.
• Design and specify components for power generation, transmission, and distribution networks.
• Develop protection schemes and coordinate protective relays for grid stability.
• Evaluate the integration of renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power.
• Contribute to the planning and development of smart grid technologies.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in power system analysis and design.
• Proficiency with power system simulation software like PSCAD, DIgSILENT PowerFactory , or similar.
• Understanding of grid codes, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Experience with protection systems, grounding, and fault analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
