Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage precision agriculture systems, including variable rate application technology, GPS guidance, and yield monitoring.
• Utilise remote sensing data (satellite imagery, drone data) for crop health assessment, soil analysis, and field mapping.
• Develop and interpret complex datasets to provide actionable insights for optimising planting, fertilising, and pest management strategies.
• Advise farmers and agricultural managers on the selection and integration of precision agriculture technologies.
• Conduct field trials and evaluations of new precision farming tools and techniques.
• Provide technical support and training to users of precision agriculture equipment and software.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agricultural Engineering, Precision Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in precision agriculture, agricultural technology, or a related field.
• Proficiency with GIS software, data analysis tools, and agricultural management information systems (e.g., John Deere Operations Center, Climate FieldView).
• Experience with sensor technology, drone operation for agricultural applications, and data interpretation.
• Strong understanding of crop science and soil management principles.
• Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences in a remote setting.
