Precision Machining Technician
Location: Taunton, UK
Salary: £13.41-£14.41 p/h
Hours: 35 hours per week, standard day shifts
We are currently recruiting for a Precision Machining Technician to join a specialist manufacturing environment, producing high-quality precision components.
The role will involve mounting, machining, cleaning and inspecting components, following engineering drawings and work instructions and working to high Health & Safety and COSHH standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out machining and associated production processes
* Mount and prepare components for machining
* Clean and finish precision components
* Inspect and check completed work
* Follow engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions
* Operate production and machining equipment safely
* Maintain high standards of quality, Health & Safety and COSHH compliance
* Work effectively as part of a small production team
Requirements:
* Previous machining or machine shop experience preferred
* Engineering qualification at Level 2 or 3 preferred
* Experience with CNC, milling, turning, grinding or similar machining processes would be advantageous
* Ability to read and follow technical drawings and instructions
* Good attention to detail and a methodical approach
* Recent engineering graduates/apprentices and candidates coming out of college will also be considered
