Role: Production Technician
Location: Taunton, UK
Salary: £13.41 p/h
Hours: 35 hours per week, standard day shifts
We are currently recruiting for a Thin Film Technician to join a specialist production environment, working within a cleanroom to manufacture precision thin film components.
The role will involve handling delicate materials, operating production equipment, working with chemicals and carrying out various associated manufacturing processes. Attention to detail and the ability to learn new processes quickly are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manufacture thin film components within a cleanroom environment
* Operate production equipment and machinery
* Handle delicate materials and components
* Work safely with chemicals and follow COSHH procedures
* Follow production processes, work instructions and quality requirements
* Carry out cleaning, inspection and associated production tasks
* Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and cleanliness
Requirements:
* Previous manufacturing, production, laboratory or cleanroom experience would be beneficial
* Engineering or Science qualification preferred
* Minimum GCSEs in Maths, English and Science
* Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
* Comfortable working with chemicals and production equipment
Full training will be provided, so candidates with a relevant engineering/science background and the right attitude are encouraged to apply
