Are you a Premises Manager, Site Manager or Estates Manager from an education background looking for an opportunity to make a real difference?

Do you want to join a growing academy trust where you can take ownership of the premises function, introduce new systems and processes, and genuinely put your own stamp on how things are run?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a relatively new and growing multi-academy trust specialising in supporting children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The Trust is passionate about providing the very best learning environments for its pupils and has ambitious plans for the future. As the Trust continues to develop, it is looking to strengthen its estates operations and introduce new systems, processes and working practices to support its long-term growth.

In this role, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the school premises, buildings, grounds and facilities, ensuring a safe, compliant and well-maintained environment for pupils and staff. Working closely with the Director of Estates and Operations, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules, introduce new procedures and working practices, improve compliance systems and establish effective site management processes. You will also oversee contractors, health and safety, statutory compliance, specialist SEND facilities and the operational management of an additional satellite site.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Premises Manager, Site Manager, Estates Manager or Facilities Manager who is currently working, or has previously worked, within a school, college, academy trust or similar educational environment. You will have a strong understanding of building maintenance, statutory compliance, health and safety and contractor management. Most importantly, you will be someone who enjoys taking ownership, implementing improvements and developing new ways of working. You will be proactive, organised and motivated by the opportunity to make a genuine difference within an organisation that is continuing to grow.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants more than simply maintaining an existing site. You will have the freedom to shape how the premises function operates, introduce your own ideas and build systems and processes that will benefit the Trust for years to come. As the Trust continues to expand, there is also the potential for future career progression. This is an opportunity to join at an exciting stage of its development, make a lasting impact and look back in years to come knowing you played a key role in its success.

The Role

• Managing the day-to-day operations of school buildings, grounds and facilities.
• Developing and implementing PPM schedules, maintenance procedures and compliance systems.
• Overseeing health and safety, statutory inspections and contractor management.
• Managing specialist SEND facilities and supporting an additional satellite site.
• Working closely with senior leadership to improve estates operations and support the Trust's growth.
